  1. This disc is being distributed as the second Archive 
  2. JPEG shareware disc. See the reference in Archive, August '94.

  4. Please note that !FYEO2 is shareware, and NOT
  5. public domain. This means that you must register
  6. with the author (details contained within the !Help
  7. file inside the application) if you use it after
  8. the two week trial period.
  9.  
  10. You may still access the images by using a PD JPEG
  11. application, such as those on the shareware 51 disc.
  12.  
  13. The NASA images were collected off Internet via
  14. JANET by Philip Draper, to whom we express grateful
  15. thanks! All are from 24 bpp originals, and so with
  16. the right JPEG application, could be used to produce
  17. 24 bits-per-pixel sprites - for those fortunate enough
  18. to be using separate graphics cards or the RiscPC.

  20. Note that !FYEO2 will only produce 8 bpp sprites.

  22. ImageBank should produce 24 bpp 'true colour' sprites
  23. on the right hardware, but not having the 'right
  24. hardware', I can't test it out!

  26. The images must not be used for commercial purposes.

  28. Double-click on the 'thumbnails' file to get a 
  29. preview of the pictures in a !Paint sprite window.

  31. Even if you are too impatient to read the !FYEO 
  32. document files, do at least make sure that you're in
  33. a 256 (or 32k or 16M!) colour mode before starting.

  35. NB This disc really needs 2Mb RAM for sensible use,
  36. and the larger files will need a 4Mb machine to 'unpack'.
  37. EG SIBERIA produces a 1280k sprite and !FYEO2 needs about
  38. 1800k of memory in total when processing it!
